On the 29th of December, 2025, REX Simulations released Technical Update 1.0 for REX Atmos CORE MSFS2024.
Atmos CORE is a visual enhancement toolbox for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 that works by adjusting various rendering parameters in the simulator. Unlike ReShade or Nvidia filters, Atmos Core injects real-time changes directly into the simulator engine.
Technical Update 1.0 brings full compatibility with Sim Update 4, enhancements to startup behavior, fixes to the description field, and fixes to custom weather rendering across simple, advanced, and METAR modes.
REX refers to the update as a full version and recommends users uninstall all previous versions of Atmos CORE prior to installing the new update. The new update’s version number is 8.1.2025.1210.
