The Synaptic Simulations A220 has finally arrived in Microsoft Flight Simulator, but is it worth the $65 price tag?
After spending a week flying it, I found myself having some of the most fun I’ve had in the sim in a long time. The A220 combines detailed systems, beautiful modeling, excellent flight deck interaction, and some genuinely impressive quality-of-life features. But it also comes with plenty of rough edges, including poor performance, bugs, a frustrating learning curve, and some inconsistent visual and audio details.
In this review, I take an in-depth look at the Synaptic Simulations A220, including its flight dynamics, automation, FMS, pilot experience, visuals, sounds, and overall performance.
Ultimately, despite its flaws, I keep finding myself wanting to fly it again — and that says a lot.
