On February 26th 2022 at 20:00z, Robert S. Randazzo (PMDG), Fabio Miguez (TheFlyingFabio), Keith Smith (PilotEdge), and Laura Laban (Infinite Flight) will be hosting a cross-community panel discussion to discuss whether flight simulation can impact real-world aviation.
The Cross-Community Panel Discussion has been put together by Flight Simulation Association and will see the four panellists get involved in what promises to be an engaging discussion. “Many experienced flight simmers think that if it really came down to it— like if both pilots “had the fish”— a flight simmer could land a jetliner if they really had to. And they are probably right. The fidelity of modern home flight simulation equipment is, in some cases, higher than the software used in real-world, full-motion flight simulator training received by airline pilots. So why doesn’t “real-world” aviation embrace this technology further?”
The 90-minute livestream is available to everyone, free. All live participants will have multiple opportunities to win more than 20 prizes donated by organizations like Aerobask, Infinite Flight, Laminar Research, PilotEdge, PMDG, SoFly, Thrustmaster and more. The grand prize, drawn at the end of the live event, is a Thrustmaster TCA Officer Pack Airbus Edition!
So be sure to tune in on Saturday 26th February 2022 at 20:00z to watch the discussion on whether flight simulation can impact real-world aviation. You can register for the event now over on Flight Simulation Association’s website for free.
FSElite is also simulcasting the event on our YouTube channel and we’ll be sharing our thoughts via the live chat. See you then.
