Newcomer RegDesigns has released Lihue Airport (PHLI) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The airport located on the Hawaiian island of Kauai serves multiple airlines to other destinations without the US. American Airlines, Dela and Southwest all visit from parts of California and Arizona, whilst WestJet seasonally flies to Ligue from Vancouver.
Whilst this is the first project from RegDesigns, they have included a range of features seen by other scenery developers. Each of the 3D models has been accurately made, whilst the team has included texture sets that reach up to 8K in resolution. Despite this, the team say that the airport is frame rate friendly. In addition, the airport comes with surrounding airport elements, accurate taxi signs and also terraforming to ensure the airport blends in with the nearby scenery. RegDesigns has had help from other developers as well to ensure the airport meets the standard expected by the community.
