With its longest paved runway at just under 700m, the beautiful Isles of Scilly have been brought to life in Microsoft Flight Simulator, with RealVFR’s latest release.
With accurate depictions of the airport terminal, including realistic furniture and a tasty Cornish pasty, the team have also put a huge emphasis on the wider island detail, leading to a stunning reproduction of the archipelago off the south-west coast of the UK.
With three landable lighthouses, a detailed rendition of Tresco Heliport and also the iconic Scillonian ferry, there is plenty for simmers to see. Additionally, night lighting has been optimised to make the islands pop in the evening, with the blinking of lighthouses out to sea there for pilots to look out for.
The team have paid particular attention to the quality of the areas surround the airport as pilots make their final approach, saying they want to give pilots a ‘rush as you line up for finals.’, with the use of hi-resolution PBR textures and a detailed mesh. Boats have even been modelling to swing to the wind on their moorings.
You can purchase a copy of RealVFR Isles of Scilly for MSFS from their website for £12.00.
