Developers PWDT and Adrián Nagy-Hinst have released a freeware Zlin Z-142 for X-Plane. PWDT is well known in the X-Plane freeware community and has previously released a fantastic Yak-18T, while Adrian Nagy-Hinst has previously released a well known Carenado Cessna 152 Mod for X-Plane.
The PWDT and NHAdrian representation includes a full PBR 3D model, custom avionics, custom FMOD sounds, 3D lights, highly detailed textures and a Setup Sheet that acts as a payload manager. Those who are reluctant to try the Zlin because of its Eastern European avionics will be able to switch with a Western world panel.
The Zlin Z-142 is derived from the Zlin 42 and was designed in Hungary during the 1970’s. It is the most sold iteration of the Zlin Z-42 family of aircraft, with almost 400 built. It is a light trainer aircraft, able to pass most aerobatics and that can sustain inverted flight for close to 3 minutes. The latter Zlin Z-242 is still in production.
The PDWDT and NHAdrian Zlin Z-142 can be found for free on the X-Plane Forums and is definitely a must have for all X-Plane pilots.
