Project MAX has released its C212-200 Aviocar for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, bringing the rugged twin-turboprop utility aircraft to the simulator.
The C212 is known for being able to operate from short and remote airfields, thanks to its high-wing design, fixed landing gear and STOL capabilities. Project MAX has looked to recreate that versatility, with both passenger and military transport configurations included, alongside an interactive rear cargo ramp and various pieces of ground equipment.
A fair amount of attention has also gone into what’s happening underneath the surface. The C212 features custom simulation of its Garrett TPE331 engines, including starting, shutdown, Beta range, reverse, propeller governing and engine limiting. An optional maintenance system takes things further by tracking engine wear, oil and contamination between flights.

Inside, there’s a configurable cockpit with both analogue and EFIS84 instrumentation available, along with different avionics options. Electrical, hydraulic, fuel and brake systems have also been modelled, whilst a custom EFB handles things such as weight and balance, performance calculations, checklists, SimBrief integration, Navigraph charts and aircraft configuration.
Project MAX has also included a Smart Copilot feature that can lend a hand with various tasks, including propeller levers, takeoff power and hydraulics.
The Project MAX C212-200 is available now exclusively through iniBuilds for £22.99 excluding VAT, and works with both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. Project MAX has already confirmed that the C212-100 will come later as a free update for existing owners, whilst a C212-300 is planned as a separate product.
