Prepar3D have unveiled Fuse, an Unreal Engine 5 based synthetic environment and next-generation image generator.
Built on a custom build of Unreal Engine 5, Fuse promises to bring a global terrain database, powered by Blackshark.AI, physically accurate sensor simulations, among a whole host of other interesting areas. All of this, they say, is available while continuously benefiting from the powerful content libraries and tools available when developing for Unreal Engine 5.

Additionally, Fuse features immersive environmental features, such as a physically accurate representation of the sky, atmosphere, sun, and moon and even includes a weather and atmospherics model with dynamic precipitation effects, visibility layers and ground fog.
According to their website, Prepar3D Fuse is intended to be an ‘all-purpose, all domain, scalable virtual/synthetic environment’, that can be used for air, land, sea, and space applications. Prepar3D state Fuse is ‘suitable for training devices, system integration labs, live, virtual and constructive simulation applications, and more. It is capable of running on hardware footprints scaling from single laptops up through large scale server racks and visual display domes.’
You can find further information about Prepar3D Fuse at their dedicated website.
