PMDG has updated their line-up of 777 aircraft in Microsoft’s flight sims to bring new compatibility for the freighter model and updated other members of the triple family.
777 Freighter
PMDG has updated its 777 Freighter to be compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This update is free of charge, and the installer now contains compatibility for both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024.
Further to the update for the new sim, there has been some general improvements for all users (some specific to each simulator, mind). Expect improved integration with SayIntentions.ai, a new ADF antenna option, a crewrest chime, adjusted volumes for nose gear sound effects, and a host of other improvements. You can get the update via the new Operations Center.
PMDG wanted to remain very clear; you are not required to repurchase the 777F in order to get Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 compatibility. This update is completely free of charge, just requires a redownload or update via the Ops Center.
If you don’t already own the 777F, you can buy it from the PMDG store today. Customers who purchased via the in-sim Marketplace will need to wait for the updates to be made available.
777-200ER Updated, 77W Coming Next, 77L Prepping for Testing
Finally, Robert gave us a bit more insight into the other triples in PMDG’s line-up. The 777-200ER also got a fresh update, whilst the 77W moves to the beta team this weekend, with the team confident that we will see that update release before the end of May. As for the awaited 777-200LR (77L), PMDG is hoping to get that into testing by the end of the month.
