In a brief statement on their forums, PMDG Robert S. Randazzo explained the PMDG plans regarding the upcoming updates for Prepar3D V5 and the expected Hotfix 2. Randazzo said that while they were able to get their hands on several release candidates of Prepar3D V5 HF2, several changes between versions had them decide to wait for the full public release before resuming work. This means that the next iterations of their Boeing 737 and Boeing 747 line of product will not be released immediately after the release of HF2. The expected release window is 4 to 14 days after they receive the final version ; which remains a speculation at this point. Randazzo further added that the 747 update would come as a micro update via the Operations Center, and the 737 will need a full reinstallation.
Randazzo concluded the post by reminding that the team were heavily committed to PMDG Global Flight Operations, the “sizable” Boeing 777 update, the 737 NGXu BBJ and BBJ2 updates as well as the cargo variants.
