PMDG’s own Robert Randazzo has shared new information regarding the recent 737 update, anticipated 777F release and the upcoming Queen of the Skies.
Boeing 777F
While development and testing has been going exceptionally well, according to Randazzo’s previous announcements, the 777F missed its anticipated release of release of “before the end of October”. Randazzo shared that there have been a lot of questions regarding the release in relation to MSFS2020 and MSFS2024. While PMDG has some understanding of the release process, according to Randazzo’s post, a full picture is still missing. The developer would rather be able to tell you “what to expect”, and as a result, the 777F is spending some extra time waiting. While the release is a bit delayed, Randazzo shared that the developers are using this time to improve some gameplay details for the aircraft. He did not share when we can reasonably expect the 777F, but he did share that they will shortly hand-off the plane to streamers.
Boeing 747
Randazzo also shared a lengthy update in regard to the Boeing 747. While we already knew the developer was working on this aircraft, one of the teasers that was shared previously turned out to be that of the 747 ‘classic’. PMDG confirmed that for the first time, in addition to the 747-400 series, the developer will also be covering the 747-100. This will happen for MSFS2024 exclusively. Furthermore, the developer hopes to add further variants over time, such as the 747SP, RA001, Air Force One and more. For now though, we’ll need to do with an early render of the overhead panel as well as an image of the development team, as this plane is still well under development.
Boeing 737
Last but not least, PMDG issued a small update for their Boeing 737 for MSFS. Version 3.00.0106 is available for download right now, and aims to fix some of the issues found in last week’s 105 update.
