Robert Randazzo, CEO of PMDG, announced the release of Build 116 of the 777 lineup via a YouTube Video on July 18th, 2025.
Here are the highlights on what’s new at PMDG:
- The 777-200LR is out on PMDG.com for USD 49.99 / EUR 42.97 / GBP 37.24
- It will be available to marketplace users “somewhere in the second half of August”
- All PMDG 777 users got the update to build 116 today across PMDG.com and the MSFS 2020 Marketplace
- MSFS 2024 Marketplace users can now purchase the 777 lineup
- Some snafus in getting livery packs onto the 2024 Marketplace
- For PC users, MSFS 2024 Marketplace clients can still install liveries if they use PMDG Operations Center 3.0
- For Xbox users, the answer is a little bit more complicated. According to PMDG the issue boils down to:
- Liveries are packaged differently in 2024 due to changes in how aircraft models operate, necessitating significant adjustments
- On Marketplace, there is no way to link the 2024 liveries to the 2020 product
- Microsoft hasn’t provided an ETA on when such a link would be possible.
- PMDG said “they could release the liveries today on marketplace” but mentioned that it would “be unfair to 2020 customers”
- The 737 NG is currently PMDG’s main priority, with more developers moving to it as work on the 777 winds down
- New features are coming to the line- including a new cabin (now accessible from the cockpit) and new sounds.
- According to Robert Randazzo- “There’s a HUGE update coming” to the 737’s that will be available at a “small upgrade price.. around a couple cups of coffee”
- No timeline has been provided for the update to MSFS2024
- The 747s also have more developers pointed at them
- The -100 has an advanced model, while more work needs to be done on the code
- The -400 has more advanced code, while the model needs more work done
- Robert mentioned they might be previewing the 747 later this summer, but provided no timeline for release. In either case, PMDG will release whichever variant “is ready first”
- The DC-6 is almost ready for MSFS 2024 with a “hitch” in the process related to an LOD issue. No concrete timeline has been provided otherwise
- New 777 Sounds are in progress via an updated sound engine that’s in beta testing.
- The 300ER, 200LR, and 200F will be the first recipients
- The 200ER will be the last to get the new sound engine due to the “3 engine types”
