PMDG has issued a hotfix to solve some model animation issues with the 737NGXu. The hotfix comes mere hours after the release of the much anticipated 737NGXu 600/700 expansion. Over on the forums, Robert Randazzo explained that they [PMDG] had found out they had a corrupt output process that affected all animations on all of the 737NGXu external models. In order to fix the issues, PMDG has issued a new installer alongside an aircraft update in the Ops Center. There are a few steps involved in getting the update for both the Base Package and the Expansion Package, which we’ll outline below.
Base Package
To get the update, you need to open your Ops Center 2.0, where you should be able to download the hotfix for the NGXu Base Package.
Expansion Package
Because PMDG issued a new installer for the Expansion Package, you need to first verify if you need to install the hotfix. To do this, follow these steps:
- Launch Operations Center 2.0
- Click on AIRCRAFT UPDATES
- Look for your PMDG 737-600/700 NGXu for Prepar3D entry
If this entry ends in 121, you will need to uninstall the Expansion Package and redownload it from your account. If your entry ends in 122, you already have the updated version and no further action is required.
PMDG will also issue an aircraft update through the Ops Center later today. If you don’t want to go through the hassle of checking your version number, and potentially uninstalling and reinstalling the Expansion Package, you can simply wait for this update to go live.
