PMDG has taken to their forums to announce that its complete 777 series has now formally entered beta testing for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. When we last heard from PMDG, we learned that they intended to ensure that the 777-200ER would be released simultaneously on both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024.
Robert said that with the products now being tested on the new platform, they feel “confident enough in the stability of the products in MSFS24.” This is a big departure from just a few months ago when PMDG were struggling to bring their products over natively to the new platform. They said there were multiple challenges, but now feel comfortable having their testers ensure it will be suitable to release to the general public soon.
PMDG opted to ensure that their products work natively with the new platform to provide the best possible experience for simmers. Robert said, “It has been a herculean task, to put things mildly, but we continue to push that stone up the hill because we want to ensure our 777s will be stable and compliant with MSFS 2024 for performance purposes on both PC and Xbox platforms.”
It is worth remembering that all PMDG 777 products will be cross-compatible with both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 in the future, with the MSFS 2024 version being free of charge.
