Breathing new life into one of their older releases, renowned Colombian scenery developer PKSIM has recently released their updated Version 2 of Rionegro José María Córdova International Airport (SKRG) for Prepar3D.
José María Córdova International Airport (SKRG) is an international airport located in the Colombian city of Rionegro. It serves as the main port of entry to both, Rionegro and Medellín, with the latter situated 20km to the north-west. The airport is considered the second busiest in Colombia and serves as a hub to Viva Air Colombia and Avianca Cargo.
José María Córdova International Airport (SKRG) was inaugurated in the year 1985 and, interestingly, was named after José María Córdova Muñoz, a former Colombian army general and wartime hero during the Independence War of Colombia, Peru, and Bolivia. Today, the airport sees many domestic and international carriers operate from its grounds, including Iberia to Madrid, JetBlue to Fort Lauderdale, and Aruba Airlines to Aruba, to name but just a few.
Renowned Colombian scenery developer PKSIM has now provided Prepar3D users with its updated rendition of this important Latin American hub. The developer claims that the scenery is an up-to-date replication of the airport, featuring the current 2021 layout. Among others, it comes included with custom 3D modeled airport buildings and structures, PBR textures, dynamic ground effects, as well as SODE jetways and windsocks.
You can now purchase this important Colombian aviation hub for €18.50 E.x. VAT via the simMarket online store. Should you have previously purchased PKSIM’s Rionegro V1 product, then you are entitled to upgrade to the newly released V2 of the airport for FREE until the 4th of April, 2021.
