The Dash 7 for Microsoft Flight Simulator has been in the works for quite sometime. We first knew that PILOT’S was working on the plane back in 2019, but then announced it would be developed in conjunction with SimWorks Studios back at the start of 2022.
In the post on Facebook, PILOT’S said that they have finalised the possibility of installing the TDS GTN unit and are working on fixing bugs and tweaking aircraft behaviour. There was also a number of external and internal previews.
PILOT’S is working alongside SimWorks Studios to develop the aircraft. SimWorksStudios, the team behind the RV-14 and the Kodiak 100, say the flight dynamics of their Dash 7 have been finalised for a few months, with minor tweaks having been made on the ground handling of the four-engine propeller driven aircraft.
Whilst PILOT’S state that the release for the Dash 7 is ‘nearing’, it’s good to remember that we were told that the plane would be in our hands “within weeks” back in October 2022. That said, PILOT’S say that they reckon there is just one more round of beta testing to do until it’s going to be released.
As usual, we’ll keep you updated with any progress, including any release dates and pricing.
