Following iniBuilds’ announcement that it is developing Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (LFPG) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Pilot Experience Sim has issued a statement confirming that its own project will continue as planned.
Pilot Experience Sim acknowledged that iniBuilds is a direct partner and said it regretted seeing the company choose to compete “head-on” with a project of this scale. However, the developer added that competition is simply part of the market and that it fully accepts the situation. Pilot Experience Sim says development of its own Paris CDG for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024 is continuing with “unchanged determination.”
The French developer highlighted its local presence as one of the key advantages of its rendition. Its team has direct access to the airport and surrounding area, with hundreds of gigabytes of reference material gathered on-site being used throughout development.
That local access is also expected to play a role after release. With Charles de Gaulle continuing to undergo significant changes, Pilot Experience Sim says it intends to provide regular updates to keep the scenery aligned with the real-world airport.
“Our goal remains unchanged: to offer the most beautiful, detailed, best-optimized, and faithful Paris-CDG scenery ever made for MSFS 2020 & 2024,” the developer said.
The statement comes shortly after iniBuilds revealed its own Charles de Gaulle project as part of its August scenery development update. We’ll keep you posted once more information becomes available.
