After receiving our last update in May, Pilot Experience Sim has provided a new development update for their King Air C90 for MSFS.
Developed by American aircraft manufacturer Beechcraft, the King Air C90 is the smallest King Air series. However, the aircraft is renowned for its reliability and performance in both civil and military applications. The type was introduced into service in the mid-1960s, with production recently ending in 2021. The C90 is known for its comfortable flying characteristics, is powered by Pratt and Whitney PT6A engines, and has a pressurized cabin. Over the years, the aircraft received a number of design improvements aimed at boosting performance and handling. Because of its short-field abilities and smooth ride, the King Air C90 continues to be the preferred aircraft for business travel and special air missions.

In Pilot Experience Sim’s second development update for the C90, they highlight all the hard work that has been put into the cockpit design. To ensure the highest-level of detail and accuracy, the team has been spending time in real King Air C90s and been aided by C90 pilots and technicians. Compared to the previous preview, the cockpit is now in a nearly-complete stage with the Garmin G1000 avionics. Between the smudges on the glass displays and modeling of the textured-carpeting, it’s clear Pilot Experience Sim is not overlooking any detail in this aircraft.
No information on a potential release date has been provided yet. However, it is exciting to see steady progress on this project, and it will be interesting to see what the developer has planned for the next update.
