Following on from their late April announcment, French developer Pilot Experience Sim has released the first previews of their upcoming Biarrtiz airport scenery.
Opened in 1954, Biarritz Pays Basque airport (LFBZ) serves the French town of Biarritz located within the countries largest administriative district, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The airport is a destination for numerous European airlines including Air France, Easyjet and Ryanair. It saw 1.2 million passenger movements last year.
Showing off the previews on their Facebook page, PESIM also gave a brief outline of what we can expect from the scenery. A realisitc terrain mesh at LOD19, custom colouring and local vegitation are being used in order to integrate the scenery with ORBX and other VFR packages. The airport AFCAD has also been worked on using the latest data from 2020, ensuring the most precision.
No release date was given but Biarritz Airport will be coming to Prepar3D Version 4, Version 5 and PESIM have previously stated that work is underway to bring the scenery into the upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator. Make sure to stay tuned to FSElite for anymore previews or release information.
