New X-Plane Developer Pepelatz has released their first product for X-Plane 12- The Yakolev Yak-55.
The Yak-55 is a single-seat, piston-powered aerobatic aircraft that first took flight in 1981. According to the developer:
“Real pilots assisted in the development and testing of the model. It was created from scratch with exceptional attention to detail. All systems are simulated with the highest possible accuracy, including realistic behavior in various weather conditions. Flight dynamics were fine-tuned with the help of an experienced aerobatic pilot who regularly flies the real aircraft. The sound package was created using professional recording of the engine, both in the cockpit and from external perspectives on a real Yak-55M.”
Pepelatz’s rendition of the Yak-55 incorporates a host of features including:
- Numerous detailed animations
- Ground support equipment for aircraft servicing
- Static elements: wheel chocks, gust locks, pitot tube cover, tie-downs
- Detailed textures with high-quality PBR for maximum realism
- Fully interactive preflight inspection
- Fully modeled M-14P engine
- Realistic canopy fogging effect
- Fully custom-modeled fuel system
- Custom electrical system with realistic generator, battery, and ground power behavior
- Fully custom pneumatic system
- Oil system with possible failures
- Engine startup logic depending on weather conditions
- Fully modeled smoke system with oil consumption affecting aircraft balance
- Fully modeled and functional “Orlan” radio with all operational features
- And many more…
The Yak-55 is available on the X-Plane.org Store for USD 35.00 / EUR 30.10 / GBP 26.09
