It should come as no surprise that Parallel 42 is bringing their (fun) Juice Goose UTV to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Afterall, the product is a land-based vehicle that encourages you to explore more rugged environments in the simulator. To kick off the new year, Parallel 42 gave us some new information on what the update for the product will look like.
To start, Parallel 42 confirmed that they are enhancing the visuals of the Juice Goose in preparation for the new simulator. This includes new dirt and mud layers, along with “big improvements” to the lighting. Furthermore, the team has completely rebuilt the texture set for a more realistic look on the UTV. Along with updating the visuals, they have rebuilt the add-on co comply with the new ‘aircraft browser’ along with optimised LODs for even more performance friendliness in the simulator.
The Juice Goose will also come with “new and improved” ground handling for Microsoft Flight Simulator. They said that the experience is much better in the new simulator compared to old, and with the more attention on the ground visuals in the new sim, this could be the best place to drive around the world virtually.
We should be getting this $2.00 USD upgrade by the end of the month, exclusively through the Parallel 42 store. Other stores will get it, along with the new Marketplace, once Microsoft opens it up for developers and customers.
If you want to try out the Juice Goose in Microsoft Flight Simulator [2020] right now, you can pick up a copy from Parallel 42’s website for $15.00 USD.
