Since the launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, people have craved an improved camera system. Many looked to Parallel 42 to bring their ChasePlane product from the FSX/P3D era to the modern simulator, but for years, the team said it would be impossible to do without more camera API access. Regardless, Parallel 42 pushed ahead and now has ChasePlane ready to release.
In a new blog post, the team revealed its release date and pricing details. We have already seen a tutorial video on setting your first camera and most recently, a full trailer featuring the cinematics showcase. Furthermore, the team has highlighted in multiple videos some of the new custom physics that you can apply to planes via ChasePlane.
ChasePlane Price and Launch
Parallel 42 confirmed that ChasePlane will launch for $30 USD. That’s all-in, with no subscription service or optional extras. You pay just once and the camera system will work, along with being able to export, share and import your camera settings. Everything will be stored locally and in the cloud (optional).
As for the release date, Club 42 members will be able to purchase ChasePlane starting on March 14th 2025 @ 11:42CST. This celebrates and coincides with the start of FSWeekend, happening in Lelystad. For those unaware, Club 42 is a select group of people who have spent $42 or more on their store and get early access to products ahead of general release. This allows Parallel 42 to soft launch the software ahead of a global release to obtain feedback, test infrastructure and stress-test community features.
The full global rollout will come exclusively on the Parallel 42 store for MSFS 2020 initially, with a MSFS 2024 free update afterwards (for a limited time).

We are also pleased to announce that ChasePlane will be previewed in a special exclusive video at FSWeekend. Those in attendance will be able to come along to the FSElite Theatre on Saturday between 12:00 – 13:00 and watch a brand-new video from Parallel 42. You can reserve your tickets here. Only a limited number of tickets remain.
