Last week, Parallel 42 shared the first in-depth look at ChasePlane for Microsoft Flight Simulator in a tutorial video. This tutorial gave us 10 minutes of footage on starting ChasePlane for the first time, giving us a detailed look at getting to grips with the basics. Within that video, it was announced that an optional cloud-based storage subscription service was a part of the offering. Parallel 42 are now walking this back, following feedback from the community.
“We listened,” the new blog post began. Having heard the feedback, and considered the financial implications further, Parallel 42 has now confirmed that cloud backups will be included in a single purchase with no subscriptions at all. “The subscription option was designed to enhance the experience, allowing users to choose what worked best for them. But even a small yearly cost (after a free year) didn’t feel right to some of you.”
As previously announced, the cloud back up solution will remain in place allowing users to back up and share their profiles for their camera presets. The difference is that it won’t require any kind of subscription, yearly or lifetime, as it will be included in the price of the product.
Parallel 42 said that they hadn’t changed their initial price target, but this price has yet to be disclosed. Equally, a release date has not yet been set either. In the meantime, you can watch the latest tutorial video showing off shortcuts.
