Parallel 42 Releases ChasePlane for MSFS [Soft Launch]

After years of development, Parallel 42 has released its long-awaited ChasePlane for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 as part of a soft launch.

ChasePlane has been designed to go beyond the camera system that is possible in Microsoft Flight Simulator. You are no longer limited by 10 views and can make as many as you like with every aircraft and vehicle in the simulator. WIth your custom views, you can even include realistic camera motion and physics based on realistic algorithms. If you want action or steady cams, you can set those up to.

For the videographers out there, the new Cinematics mode will allow you to see your plane from a number of angles. The effect is designed to be natural and provide impressive visuals.

ChasePlane also gives you the chance to implement smart views that gives you the chance to zoom in on specific areas of the cockpit with a simple button press. A new ‘binoculars’ mode will also give you the chance to zoom in without the need to worry about complex controls. The built-in tutorial will make setting up your camera views as easy as possible.

Finally, once you have set up your views, you can export and share them freely with the community. If you also want to, you can back-up your views on the Parallel 42 cloud for life, without any need for a subscription.

What is a Soft Launch?

ChasePlane will initially be available exclusively to Club 42 customers on the Parallel 42 website. By only offering it to a select group of customers first, Parallel 42 says that it gives them the chance to stress-test the add-on and ensure it’s ready for a full global launch.

If you are part of Club 42, you can get your copy of ChasePlane now for $30.00 USD (plus applicable taxes) from the Parallel 42 store. If you are not, you will have to wait a little longer, but it will be out soon enough.

Remember, this is just for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, with a free update (limited time) for MSFS 2024 coming later.
