Parallel 42 Releases ChasePlane 1.2

After a cinematic trailer showcasing the new Cinematics mode the other day, Parallel 42 has now released the awaited ChasePlane 1.2 update for the whole community. The new free update introduces numerous functionality and is available now.

Starting with Cinematics, this was previously known as Cinematic Mode. Not only did the name change, but all-new features creep in to enable artists to create stunning visual imagery with a click of a button. You can now have on-board cameras effortlessly glide through your aircraft in a beautiful way without doing anything yourself. Outside, the camera will do just as much visual delight to give you some sensational views. In addition, you can now key in a sequence and also mute simulators sounds.

As for this who miss the community part of ChasePlane, the team have heard and made some changes to the previously announced Presets Library. A new file will easily be sharable with your friends and you can download them straight to your library. Moving the default library is also easy so you can now effortlessly move files and give them to friends.

ChasePlane 1.2 is now ready to download for users on the Release Candidate channel. You will need to enable this if not already done so. Those on the Stable Channel will get access very soon. As a reminder, you can buy ChasePlane from Orbx.

Feeling creative? Get in touch with Parallel 42 and provide a demo reel of your production work, as they would love a direct line of creative input on Cinematics!

  • Cinematics can now be enabled/disabled from the Cinematics, Camera, and Presets sections as well as via the Control Assignments.
  • We have created a section dedicated to your Presets Library.
  • A new file format (.cpp1) has been created to enable you to import, export and share presets with ease.
  • Export as individual aircraft, or as a single library file.
  • You can export presets for a specific camera mode, a particular aircraft, or your entire library in 2 clicks from the Presets page using the down arrow button or from the Library page.
  • Your Presets Library now lives in the Documents folder (DocumentsParallel 42ChasePlane) by default, making it easier to access and backup.
