Parallel 42 has released its latest immersion package that focuses on bringing visual effects to the 737 in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Right now, the compatible airframes include the suite of PMDG 737 planes. However, they said a select few offerings will be made available in the future, but they do not specify which airframes specifically. You can watch the trailer above to see the new visual effects tool in action.
A total of 15 new or improved effects are included in the 737 Immersion package. This includes effects such as engine intake vortices and (improved) wheel spray during rainy or wet conditions, wing and engine condensation, St. Elmo’s fire, cloud illumination, water droplets, contrails and more.
You can get your copy from Parallel 42’s website now for $15.00, but SimFX will be a required purchase should you wish to add effects to your 737 aircraft. As for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 compatibility, Parallel 42 said that they will begin evaluation shortly, but it’s untested at this time.
