Parallel 42 continues to provide more details on their upcoming ChasePlane for Microsoft Flight Simulator. After throwing out a confirmation of the tool last month, the team are now showcasing more of the UI and providing the first information on how to get to grips with the new camera software.
Tutorial and Introduction
In the first 10-minute-long video, we get a step-by-step tutorial on how to get acquainted with ChasePlane. We see how to set up camera views, and control bindings and are shown the new groups of cameras and how you can manipulate a bunch of settings.
Smart Views
In the second video, Parallel 42 takes us on a tour of setting up views and smart views with the utility tool. You can use on-screen controls to refind your camera location, along with easily changing the name or location of the viewpoint.
Parallel 42 also confirmed that users will be able to export/import their own profiles and settings to allow anyone in the community to share and create. In addition, all of your views and profiles will be backed up automatically into the Parallel 42 cloud storage for free for the first year. After that, you can opt-in for an optional yearly $5 USD storage fee, or pay a one-off $20 USD fee to keep all your presets backed-up. You can read more on that here. Note, that you won’t need to pay any subscription in order to export or import views.
We look forward to learning more about ChasePlane in the future and will be sure to keep you posted.
