Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport from Orbx is coming soon to X-Plane 11. Olbia Airport located 4.5 miles west of the town of Olbia, Italy is the principal operating base for Air Italy. Olbia Airport (LIEO) primarily sees seasonal flights from airlines such as airBaltic, easyJet, Eurowings, S7, Lufthansa and more. Set in the Mediterranean island of Sardina, Olbia has scenic views, huge amounts of vegetation and great looking docks, harbours and charming towns all of which developer Matteo Veneziani has customised for the simulator.
As with the Prepar3D and Microsoft Flight Simulator release, Matteo has crafted an authentic-looking airport that is chock full of detail. The building models have been crafted with a huge amount of detail, whilst texturing throughout has been designed to take advantage of X-Plane 11’s rendering engine. Custom groundpoly ensures that the markings look realistic with correct information and also environmental effects. Throughout the airport is custom ground service equipment, static aircraft and more which can be controlled via the Control Panel in Orbx Central. Finally, the product comes with various points of interest around the city.
It has been confirmed that Orbx Olbia Airport for X-Plane 11 will release on Friday, August 13th 2021. You can view the product page on the Orbx website here.
