Orbx has updated its DCS Kola Map with all-new features following its release earlier this year. The new update provides the long-awaited winter textures that depict the region’s cold climate.
Depending on the mission date in DCS, these winter textures will automatically be applied and loaded in when you start your flight. In addition, this update includes the Port of Kirkenes and enhancements along the Russian/Finland border.
Further changes include corrected wind turbine placements, removal of orange trees, increased depth pf Polyarny Harbour, and optimising map performance.
This is an ‘early access’ release, meaning Orbx intends on adding new content and features in the near future. Such improvements including additional military and civilian airfields, and additional cities and towns with new POIs.
You can buy the Early Access version of Kola now from Orbx for $55.99 USD (excluding taxes), but the price will increase to $69.99 USD once the full product is out.
