In a forum post, Orbx has announced that they’ve released Service Pack 1 for their X-Plane 11 rendition of TrueEarth Great Britain South.
The team at Orbx have been working hard since the initial release to moreover enhance your experience when using TE GB South for X-Plane 11.
Service Pack 1 brings along 345 new POIs, a multitude of fixes, additions and improvements in response to customer requests and Orbx’s desire to further immerse you by further improving the realism of the region. You can find the complete changelog at the end of this article.

Main Improvements
- Removed buildings from airports (as long as they have a boundary set in X-Plane)
- Added Ambient Occlusion (AO) ground and wall effects to autogen
- Updated autogen to PBR
- Upgraded tree placement algorithm (forests are now even more accurate)
- Updates to autogen placement, fixed reported building rotation bugs
- Made the roads darker to better match the ortho, and these are now enabled by default
- Added supermarkets (Sainsbury’s, Lidl, Morrisons, ASDA and IKEA)
- Added fast food outlets
- Numerous small bug fixes with object placements
- Some optimisation to London buildings to improve performance
