Orbx has revealed the first previews of the upcoming TrueEarth Great Britain North in X-Plane 11. Posted by John Venema on the Orbx forums, the previews are from the final part of the Great Britain series using the TrueEarth technology. As you could expect with TrueEarth, it provides a huge amount of detail for the ground imagery, a huge range of 3D points of interest custom models and also realistically placed buildings and trees.
The first previews are an assortment of random images taken by John during early beta testing. Areas include Glasgow, Oban, Inverness and the general Highlands areas. John is using the latest version of X-Plane along with a few add-ons including xVision and UWXP.
As development and testing continues, I imagine we’ll see a flood of new previews from various areas in the near future. In the mean time, you can grab both TrueEarth Great Britain South and Central via Orbx. For Prepar3D V4 users, work is still on-going for the Southern region.
