Continuing the development of airports to compliment and further enhance their newly released TrueEarth GB South add-on for X-Plane 11, Orbx has revealed that the next airport to come is Stapleford Airport (EGSG) which was announced on their forum.
Stapleford Airport, located in the Epping Forest district of Essex is a stunning destination for any national VFR traffic. It is used extensively for pilot training by the Stapleford Flight Center. Stapleford has three runways, one tarmac and two grass, however, don’t expect to be able to land anything larger than a King Air into the airfield.
From the screenshots, you can see that a lot of attention has been paid to bringing the little and big details of the airport into the sim. With static aircraft, cars and random objects scattered around which were created from on-site photography, you might as well feel as if you were there for real. Orbx’s rendition features 11cm/px ground textures, AI traffic, TE GB South integration and more which can be viewed in the features list at the end of this article.
You’ll soon be able to grab a hold of Stapleford Airport (EGSG) from OrbxDirect at a price of AUD$24.95 (Incl. VAT) for X-Plane 11 *It will be 10% off if released before the end of the sale. Owners of the FSX/P3D version will automatically be granted a 40% discount.
