Orbx continues to bring airports to Microsoft Flight Simulator, with the latest announcement confirming that Gothenburg Landvetter Airport (ESGG) will be coming soon. Developed by Marcus Nyberg, the airport brings one of his most popular airports to the simulator. This will be the first release from developer Marcus as he brings across his talents to the new platform.
Gothenburg Landvetter Airport (ESGG) is the second busiest airport in Sweden and servers over 7 million passengers per year to local, European and other worldwide destinations. Low-cost carriers such as Norwegian, Ryanair and WizzAir visit, whilst long-haul carriers such as TUI and Qatar regular operate to the airport.
Whilst this may be Marcus’ first airport in Microsoft Flight Simulator, he will bring the airport product full of features. Including 4K PBR texturing throughout, detailed and impressive 3D models depicting the whole airport plus numerous parts of the interior modelling. In addition, the custom-made aerial imagery will also be colour-corrected to match the surrounding terrain for a seamless experience. Finally, the airport will be littered with static aircraft, ground service equipment and other finer details to help bring the airport to life.
Marcus intends to port all of his Swedish airports to Microsoft Flight Simulator in the future, but for now, enjoy the screenshots of Gothenburg Landvetter in the new simulator. We’ll bring you the product release details once we have them. You can see more screenshots on the Orbx forums.
