West Virginia’s Yeager International Airport is now available for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Developed by Orbx, the team has brought this regional airport to life in the simulator with a range of features and detailed modelling.
The airport is more commonly known as Yeager International Airport (KCRW) and was first opened in 1947. Today, it serves many domestic airlines such as American, Delta, United and Spirit. It has a relatively short runway (just over 6,300ft), meaning it is somewhat limited in terms of where aircraft can fly. Those looking for a bit of a challenge will appreciate the flattened mountain terrain as it makes it a hard airport to approach.

Orbx has crafted the airport to the standard we are coming to expect now in Microsoft Flight Simulator releases. This includes the use of high-quality PBR texturing, custom building modelling and also implementation of custom jetways. Furthermore, Orbx has included a number of POIs for the surrounding area of the airport and also the Charleston downtown area. Finally, a detailed terminal interior is also included for those that want to explore the airport a little further.
