Orbx continues to release products for Microsoft Flight Simulator with the latest being Sumburgh Airport (EGPB). Serving Shetland in Scotland, the airport sees plenty of domestic traffic to and from cities such as Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. The airport features two runways, with the longest being just 4,921ft. In addition, helicopter pilots will be able to take advantage of the helipad at the airport.
The airport was first developed by 29Palms for FSX/P3D and then converted to X-Plane, but now the team have revamped the airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The airport is now fully PBR ready, makes use of the new engine and incorporates custom ground poly, taxisigns and lights. In addition, the airport comes with surrounding landmarks and static aircraft to help immerse simmers further into the airport product.
Orbx has released Sumburgh Airport as part of their ‘Throwback Thursday’ range and launches with a limited time sale providing 30% off. The usual price is $15.45 AUD, but you can grab it right now for $10.82 AUD (approximately US$8.08 | €6,83 | £5.85).
