Just days after making the announcement on their forums, Orbx has released Rockhampton Airport (YBRK) for MSFS.
Transporting 580,000 passengers per year, Rockhampton is a major Australian regional airport in central Queensland frequented by QantasLink, Virgin Australia, and SkyTrans. Scheduled flights cover destinations across the Eastern states of Australia covering Brisbane, Cairns, Proserpine, Townsville, and another recently released airport, Mackay. Bonza, Australia’s newest low-cost airline also plans to start flights from Rockhampton at the end of March to various destinations including Melbourne and Sunshine Coast.
Outside of scheduled flights, the airport is capable of handling B747, B767, B777, and A340 aircraft. Rockhampton is home to the Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service, is also one of 9 Royal Flying Doctor Service bases across Queensland and, is regularly visited by RAAF aircraft.
