If you’re looking to venture out to the Sunshine coast in the United States of America, then look no further than the new release from Orbx. Palm Beach International (KPBI) is now available on X-Plane 11 & 12 and comes with a number of features that take full advantage of the simulator’s capabilities.
Palm Beach International Airport (KPBI) was opened in 1936 as Morrison Field, named after Major Morrison who died in a plane crash. Since then, it has turned into a relatively large international airport in Florida that has seen around 7 million passengers pass through the terminal in a year. There are modern facilities and also great transport networks for both leisure and business travelers in Palm Beach County.
The airport product includes 3D modeling of the airport, terminal, and surrounding buildings, whilst also implementing full PBR texturing throughout. There’s also plenty of use of night lighting, custom vehicles, and ground clutter. Those flying jets into the airport will also be able to take advantage of the animated SAM jetways. If you own TrueEarth Florida, then you can also integrate the scenery with that package (on X-Plane 11 only).
You can buy Palm Beach International Airport for X-Plane 11 and 12 from Orbx Direct for $28.96 AUD (approximately US$20.49 | €18.78 | £16.75).
