Lamezia Terme International Airport is a medium-sized airport located just outside the city of Lamezia Terme, Calabria, Southern Italy. Opening in 1976, the airport has received a number of upgrades and modernisation work over the years including a new passenger terminal, a new apron and a runway extension from 2,414 meters to 3,017 meters. Today, Lamezia serves a number of low-cost, seasonal and charter airlines with over 39 destinations in 12 countries. The longest route to and from Lamezia Terme at present is Toronto Pearson, at 2,914 miles non-stop with Air Transat. In 2021 the airport saw 1,705,872 passengers through its doors.
