Orbx continues to bolster its lineup of aerobatic aircraft with the latest release of the American Champion Super Decathlon 8KCAB for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The two-seat, high-wing, single-engine airplane is well-known for its versatility and aerobatic capabilities. With a G limit of +6 and -5 Gs, the Super Decathlon can perform advanced aerobatic maneuvers such as loops, rolls, hammerheads, spins, and more. It also features what Orbx says is an authentic flight model developed with the help of real-world pilots and owners.
The Super Decathlon is the fourth aircraft developed by Orbx partner Hangar Studios 713. It includes both an analog “steam gauge” instrument panel and a modern, Garmin G3X-equipped panel. Further panel options include a swappable Garmin GNS 430 or GTN 650 series GPS navigator, along with a GFC-series autopilot. Xbox users can take advantage of the PMS50 in-game GTN 750 panel for GPS navigation. The aircraft also includes a 45-page flight manual and a 21-page aerobatic maneuvers guide.
