After just a single preview announcement in late March, scenery developer Orbx has released Boulder City Municipal Airport (KBVU) ‘gateway to the Grand Canyon’ for P3D v4.
Boulder City is located on the Colorado River in the southeast corner of Nevada 26 miles southeast of Las Vegas. The airport is located 2 kilometres southwest of the city and handles over 100,000 aircraft movements a year, the majority of those, ferry passengers to and from the grand canyon via air-taxi or helicopter.
Well known Orbx scenery creator Ken Hall has put this scenery together to include Boulder Municipal Airport as well as interesting surrounding areas covering the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, Black Hill and more. The surrounding area is colour-corrected photo scenery at 15cm, 30 cm and 1m resolution fully optimised for performance with hand-placed autogen and custom night lighting.
The rendition of Boulder City Municipal airport has been meticulously recreated to include accurate airport buildings with internal modelling, custom 3D modelled static aircraft, helicopters and ground vehicles, as well as PBR usage throughout on all major assets.
Boulder City is fully compatible with Orbx Southern California, Global Base, or Global Base + OpenLC North America. If you would like to purchase Boulder City for P3D v4, you can find it through Orbx Central or their website for US$22.14/€20,29/£17.74.
