Orbx CEO John Venema has provided the community a first look at TrueEarth Great Britain South for Prepar3D. After the initial release back in October for X-Plane 11, many P3D fans were eagerly awaiting the product for their sim. Today the first pre-beta shots have been released.
As John says in his post, “we are not yet in beta testing and this is an early build”, so don’t expect the previews to be final just yet. Whilst this is the first time we have seen TrueEarth Great Britain in P3D, it’s not the first TrueEarth product for the sim. TrueEarth Netherlands was released earlier this year and was met with lots of good community feedback. As the team develop, their skills will become more refined and with multiple updates planned with new POIs and more, it will only get better.
The below previews have been taken from a developer’s PC, with no additional effects such as PTA, etc applied. This is a vanilla install of Prepar3D V4 with HDR switched on.
If you’re unfamilar with the TrueEarth technology; it combines all the efforts of Orbx’s technology over the years and allows users to enjoy photoreal scenery over accurate landclass details, custom auto-gen and accurate cityscapes.
Or alternatively, you can see more details about TrueEarth GB South for X-Plane 11 here, or you can buy it from Orbx. We’re also anticipating that TrueEarth GB Central for X-Plane 11 will be out very soon.
You can read more and see more previews at the Orbx forums.
