With Black Friday close now, many people were expecting Orbx to hold a sale to reduce their prices for a limited time on their products. Well much to our surprise, Orbx will be reducing the price on many airports permanently.
Using a new tier system which will be effective as of TODAY, some airports have seen a price reduction of up to 37.5% compared to their old price. We recently discussed this topic, stating that the pricing model seemed to be a bit linear. It seems as if Orbx heard us, and the community.
So from now on, you will find airports categorised into Silver, Gold or Platinum.
The team found that their pricing was no longer reflecting the value you would see in a higher end product which includes extra airfields, large photorealistic areas and more
This is the result of the rejig:
21 airports have been reduced in price by 37.5% to become the entry-level Silver tier
67 airports have been reduced in price by 17.5% to become the mid-range Gold tier
16 airports have remained at their current price to become the premium Platinum tier
