Recently we shared the previews that Orbx showed on their forum of Bill Womack‘s newest scenery for P3D and FSX, Pearson Field. This small airport would be Bill’s first exclusive Orbx release since returning to the team where he cut his teeth years ago. Now we’re pleased to report that Orbx has released KVUO Pearson Field for the community to enjoy in FSX and P3D.
KVUO Pearson Field is a small airport in the Pacific Northwest of the United States and is the oldest continuously operated airport in the region, with the first plane landing there in 1911. Being such an old airport, it has a rich history stretching back through the wars. These days, it serves as a GA field for pilots and history buffs, surrounded by the busy Washington area.
X-Plane users may be wondering when they can get this historic field into their simulator, much like this writer was. I’m pleased to say that Bill himself has confirmed he is working on it, so we should expect to see this release for X-Plane in the not too distant future.
As for our friends on the FSX/P3D platform, you can get Pearson Field right now from the Orbx website for AUD 32.95.
