Although no formal announcement has been made on the Orbx forums (outside of their roadmap post from earlier this year), a new entry in the ‘coming soon’ section reveals that Orbx will be bringing Split Airport (LDSP) to Microsoft Flight Simulator. The airport is being developed by the Havant Team and the feature list highlights a range of features it will feature upon release.
From what we can see so far, the airport will come with over 62 square miles of 30cm seasonal photoreal imagery, along with high-resolution PBR textures applied to the buildings and objects in and around the airport. Various points of interest have also been added, including the nearby harbour, town and numerous bridges. Finally, the feature list also says that the terminal building has been included to a high level of detail and includes an interior model.
Situated in the Adriatic Sea, Split Airport is one of the largest in Croatia. The sun-drenched destination often sees plenty of traffic during the summer months with airlines from across Europe visiting. The challenging approach and stunning visuals along the coast certainly make this an exciting destination in your narrow-body aircraft.
Whilst no release date has been indicated, we’ll be sure to keep our eyes peeled and keep you informed. For now, you can check out the product page over on OrbxDirect.
