Last year, Orbx took the initiative to help newcomers to the world of flight simulation through a month-long event. For 2021, the Orbx team is back with FlyJuly and it promises to be even better than before. In this month-long industry-wide event, FlyJuly will be celebrating flight simmers, community members and real-world aviators who use simulation to help them.
Throughout July, Orbx will be teaming up with many developers, publishers, content creators and community members to share brand-new content, host community fly-in sessions and stream charity events. Furthermore, Orbx will host some special promotions in the future, whilst their flight tracking app, Volanta, will host a series of new challenges for virtual pilots to complete.
We are delighted to be involved in FlyJuly ourselves. Later this month, we will be moderating a roundtable discussion with a series of key members of the development community and getting their take on what the future of flight simulation holds. We’ll share more details on that in the near future.
