Orbx has released IDA Idaho Fire Lookouts for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, developed by Orbx Indie developer Milo Taylor.
Orbx IDA Idaho Fire Lookouts gives you access to 11 detailed fire lookouts spread throughout Idaho and are often used as visual aids for VFR flying across the area. Once upon a time, there were thousands of these across Idaho, but since the introduction of aircraft capable of taking on the fire fighting and fire search, these lookouts have been reduced to 1/10 of what they once were. Many lookouts are still in use today, but mainly during the summer months, and some can be rented out privately.
Orbx IDA Idaho Fire Lookouts features 11 highly detailed lookouts and locations, each with their own STOL landing strips and helicopter landing pads, over 20 miles of extensive road works between multiple locations, custom vegetation and terrain, animated people, birds and animals, seasonal assets such as icicles and snow piles that appear in those colder months and more.
