Back in May, Orbx developer Marcus Nyberg shared that he was working on a Sweedish bundle, which would include Kiruna (ESNQ) and Dala Airport (ESSD). Just a week or so ago, Marcus took to the forums again to hint that there was still a surprise waiting to be revealed. That surprise was confirmed today to be that Visby Airport (ESSV) will be part of the complete package, which is due out very soon. Along with that, Orbx Marketing Manager, Aimee, gave some more details about the airports to come in the bundle.
About Visby Airport
Visba is a busy airport which sees a range of types of airliners and aircraft visit. From military operations to the commercial terminals – there’s a lot going on. Marcus is said to have spent a lot of time creating a realistic rendition of the airport by also including a huge range of objects around the airport, the city of Visby and nearby harbours and small towns.
About Dala Airport
Marcus first created Dala Airport as a freeware project for FS9, so bringing it to life with the power of modern simulators must have been exciting for him. The airport is also pretty close to where Marcus grew up, making it even all that more special. As for what you can expect, the airport is often used for charter flights or general aviation and is usually pretty active for gliders in the area.
What’s most exciting is that Dala Airport will feature brand new 3D snow build up techniques and of course high quality texturing throughout.
About Kiruna Airport
An important airport for the Swedish economy due to the mines and iron ore that the city produces. With over 100,000 hand placed objects, the Kiruna Airport scenery from Marcus has had a lot of attention given to it. You should definitely try finding all the little points of interest.
Orbx also confirmed that upon release, the product will cost AUD $39.95 (approx. USD $28.80 / €24.60 / £21.95).
