FSElite Bottom Line
While formerly developed as an FSX/P3D product, this updated version of Catalina Airport for MSFS doesn’t give the appearance of being older. The airport takes advantage of the new simulator’s PBR technologies and has detailing good enough that you can walk around the airport and experience detail akin to some first-person video games. While the airport appearance is slightly dated with the older style runway, the change is still relatively recent enough that this is a great representation of the airport in the late 2010s.

No option for modern (2019 onward) concrete runway

Video Producer
Tom’s interest in aviation began with FS2000 and CFS1 and only grew when he was taken spotting at McCarran Intl. He sets out to learn as much as he an about aviation and he has continued to use flight sim as his primary tool. When not on the sim, Tom enjoys designing, building, and flying remote-controlled aircraft, plane spotting/aviation photography, experimenting with 3D printing, and playing other PC games.
