Orbx is back with their TrueEarth series on X-Plane. If you are not familar with TrueEarth, it was first released for X-Plane 11 as a blend of photoreal imagery, 3D objects and terraforming to recreate specific regions of the world in rich detail. Whilst the TrueEarth series has been fairly dormunt as of late, Orbx is bringing it back with Great Britain on X-Plane 12.
In the small post on social media, Orbx said that the new Great Britain version will take full advantage of X-Plane 12’s new rendering engine and modern engine to elevate the product to new levels. The new product will have updated water masking, using X-Plane 12’s new water model, all-new soundscape support, and 3D trees throughout the region. Finally, it will support fully native seasonal changes.
A number of previews were shared on social media highlighting TrueEarth Great Britain in X-Plane 12.
Orbx said that the product is due to be released soon, so we’ll be sure to keep you updated with any news as and when we get it.
