Orbx has taken to the forums to announce that they will soon be releasing Sogndal Haukåsen Airport (ENSG) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Developed by Andreas Hegi, the airport is a great addition for those looking to continue exploring Norway in the recent World Update V for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The airport features a single 3,600ft runway that has an extremely stunning visual approach through the fjords. The airport also comes equipped with PLASI and is used for visual guidance as the airport’s runway is atop a plateau, leaving little room for error for pilots approaching.
Whilst the airport was originally developed for FSX/P3D, Andreas has developed the new product from scratch and introduced 4K and PBR-based texturing throughout. Other features for the product seemingly includes high-quality airport clutter, vehicles and dynamic lighting. There is also the use of conditional elements for the people in the airport depending on the time of day and the weather.
No mention of a release date was mentioned, but lately, Orbx seems to be previewing products just days before a release. Keep your eyes peeled and we’ll inform you of a release. In the meantime, you can view even more previews on the Orbx forums.
